Semsonsing Engti ka janm 8 February 1910 ko Tika Hills (present-day West Karbi Anglong, Assam) mein hua tha.
Unke pita ka naam Thengkursing Engti aur maa ka naam Madhobi Ruth Barua tha.
Unka janm ek simple Karbi family mein hua, lekin chhoti si umr se hi unhone education aur samajik sudhar ko apna jeevan lakshya bana liya tha.
🎓 Education (Shiksha)
Semsonsing Engti ne apni primary education Golaghat Mission High School se shuru ki.
Phir unhone apna matric exam Bezbaruah High School, Golaghat se pass kiya.
Higher studies ke liye woh Cotton College (Guwahati) gaye — us samay yeh North East ke best colleges me se ek tha.
Aakhirkar unhone Murari Chand College, Sylhet se graduation complete kiya 1933 me.
